May 2003- First consultation with Dr. Dorfman

August 15- Upper brackets & 8 spacers applied applied; no arch wire until next visit

August 29- Upper arch wire applied. Learned that I would get my lower braces when Dr. Dorfman felt that the top was close to being in the right order

[I do not remember specific dates anymore, but on my second adjustment appointment chains were applied to my 4 front teeth. I continuted getting chains every appointment after until May 2004]

May 2004- For the first time ever I am chainless! However, I now sport a lovely steel spring over my right canine (baby tooth)

June 21- Pretty good appointment this time! I had a very friendly hygenist :) - Got my referral to the oral surgeon. Referral says (excuse any mistakes, he has bad handwriting):

(1) Maxillan primary right cuspid
(2) All 3rd molars
(3) Expose #6, place bracket and multilooped (something.. looks like "wlle")

Yet another powerchain across the 4 front teeth (gap was, again, completely closed in less than 5 hours) and more coils added to the "spring" (excuse my lack of orthodontic knowledge! I will try to find the correct terms asap).
Spoke to Dr. D about rubberbands (I was just curious), and he said that right now my bite looks very good and he doesn't think I'm going to need them. Personally, I think I have an overbite now-- but I'm not the doctor :p He also said something similar to "We just have to get the adult canine in place and then you're all done" - which sounds like all I'm waiting for is that took to come into place... which could take over a year, anyway. ;)
Got metallic blue this time! :D I really like this color; pictures coming soon!

April 2005 I finally had my surgery to expose the baby tooth. I won't go into detail here just yet, but lets just say it was a horrible experience! Not to scare anyone here, but my Dr was a horrible terrible doctor and made the whole procedure a painful ordeal for me. I suffered for days afterwards.

Fast forward many months of adjustments since April and the tooth is SLOWLY making its way down into the spot! It's not there yet though, sadly! :( I've went past my 2 year mark, in August 2005. :(
